Do you have any idea what you're talking about ?

I have a rather LARGE cam(G5x3 on a 112lsa) and I idle at 850-900 lope for days and still get 24-26mpg on the freeway and 17-19 in town. Hell my 43 yr old mom drives the damn thing and LOVES IT. No bucking, no surging. It's ALL IN THE TUNE. So there's your driveability and lope comment squashed.

Let me repeat that for you, IT'S ALL IN THE TUNE.

But on a side note, i am with the above opinions, the F14 is a killer cam.......sounds bad *** https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/445203-thank-you-futral-motorsports.html and obviously performs well, review that thread to hear my vids.
My 2000 TA idles at 750-800, but I have a predator tune now; I don't thinkt he idle was too different with the stock tune.

Before I put 4.10's in I used to worry about low-end torque and "daily drivability", and before the new gears were even broken in I was already thinking no cam is too big now. I had been planning to install an F13, but it's F14 all the way now.

yeah i don't know why mine is idling so high and it searches for idle sometimes after clutching it coming to red lights......it bucks and surges a little bit at low speed around 1100-1300 rpm.....i guess i need to call Allan.
