How big is the cam??
The cam is fine. Just inspect it if you can. Valvetrain....depends on the size of the cam if the springs should be replaced or not.
I ran a used cam in mine for just over a year before selling it to someone local that is also having good luck with it.

it a custom ground cam from cam motion. the specs are 223/226 .579/.578 114lsa. It would also come with dual vavle springs (I think Partiot Golds), titanium retainers, double roller timing chain, chromolly hardend pushrods, and the seats.

The cam is a hyd roller right? You should have no problems running a used one. A solid roller is a different story. You would have to have the entire drivetrain to go with the solid setup.
All cars are different. period. It might be a better performer than his installed in your car. you never know.

I'm currently runnin a used cam ... no issues whatsoever. Everything else should be fine ... just check the springs everyonce and a while to make sure they're replaced when they need to be. Or for 170 bucks just throw in some 918's to be sure.

All 3 of the cams i have ran in my car (hotcam, TSP 231/237, and my Comp XER) were used, at least slightly. no problems with any of the cams due to them being hydraulic roller. they dont wear like other types of cams and as long as the lobes look good, you should be fine!!
