can an OEM ls1 block handle 1000rwhp?

so the iron ls1 is strong?is it sleeve as well?i really wanna built a all aluminum ls1 all forged to put in my 89 camaro on bosst and make like 650 rwhp.are these sleeves goodhttp://www.melling.com/select/cylinder_sleeves_ls1_ls6.asp
are they dry or wet like the darton?will they need expensive machine work?

Iron 6.0L is strong. There are no sleeves just solid iron. If you are looking for 650 rwhp I would say the stock block will do you fine. I have 2 cars I built already in the 650-700rwhp range on stock aluminum blocks with stock sleeves.

yeah im just gonna buy a brand new ls1 block so i dont have to remove no material from the sleeves.and 650-700 rwhp is wat im looking for so thanks alot i already have alot of information already for my project.thanks alot
