Did a search, but that comes up with nothing. I was looking at the Lunati Voodoo series...here's a Link.

Sound decent to me...with asymmetrical lobes for quick opening but a slower closing rate. They offer three cams with the largest being a 232/238 .599"/.601" 113 with a 109 ICL.

Any info?

I REALLY hate to ask (because I see these threads all the time), but what would be a good cam recommendation for a car with an LS6 intake, QTP HVMC headers, and an M6 with 3.42 gears? I had the TR224 and the Futral F2 in my last camaro...looking to step it up a little with this one since it is a manual and the tune isn't as critical than it is with an auto for drivability.

I was looking at a Futral cam, but they are so backed up I may never see it, LOL.

I'm getting one in my 454 for my Chevelle . I know that doesn't help you any, but I can tell you that the guy who designed the voodoo series cams has an impressive background. The rumor is one of his grinds was in a car that won the indy 500, but I really can't confirm that. It's just the here say I get off the Chevelle website.

I myself am going with the TSP MS3.....It's a popular cam with good drivability on the street and great in an M6. I talked to John at TSP he said it will need a tune after install due to the car will not want to stay running. But heah, It's going to get me in the hp #'s that I want. Plus they have a pretty good package to go with that cam....they are a sponsor here check them out.....

Hey whats going on 99? I have a similar setup as you except you have WAY better headers and im going with a 232/238 custom grind from Dez Racing, looking for 385+ rwhp, id say go at least a tsp torquer V2 as predator said but def choose something in the low to mid 230/230 range with a 112-114 lsa. I was originally gonna go with a smaller cam but after riding/driving my buddies z28 with a tr 224 I def wanted a much larger cam. Also, I havent heard a whole lot about the lunati voodoo cams for the LSX engines, only for the older sbc/bbc engines, but since they are made by lunati im sure they are good cams. Id just suggest going with one of the cams by one of the sponsors here as they have much more testing and research time with the LSX engines. Also I was gonna go with an FM14 from Futural but im with you i dont feel like waiting months for a cam to come in. Good luck though with whatever cam you choose!

You guys talking about Harold???Has it been confirmed that he actually did design the Voodoo series?? If so, that would be my first choice in a cam design. The man really knows his stuff.

I believe he was the designer for the voodoo line, but as for as the voodoo cam won the indy 500, i dont know.

I have to believe the Lunati cams will put down the power....they've been around a while. I like the idea of the asymmetrical lobe.

So, Voodoo 323/238 or TSP Torquer v2? The lunati is $289 shipped...the TSP is a little over $400...

Im sure the lunati cam will put down the power and that is a good price so if your content with the specs of the cam then def go for it. Looks like it will make some solid numbers.

Keep me posted Mike. Ive pondered these cams too, never really seen any results on them from the board though. Im looking to do a swap this late spring/early summer. I wonder how what kind of shift points you would be looking at with that 232/238, it says 2500-7500 RPM powerband..

Yup, I'm referring to Harold. I really can't confirm that all the voodoo grinds are his but on the chevelle site he will state that voodoo grind XXXXX is really Ultradyne grind XXXXX that has been relabeled. I wish he would post here to confirm because after my big block is done I would like to do a h/c on my z28. And your correct, he really knows his stuff!!

Hold on here, I don't want my previous statement taken the wrong way. I believe he custom designed a cam that won an indy 500 many years ago, like back in the 70's or 80's. It's pretty safe to say the professionals do not use off the shelf grinds in their rides, lol.

I have a lunati 221/221 with .558 and it revs clean up to 6800, it's an auto shifted at 6400, so I believe these new grinds from lunati have to be better, they have also been in the business for a while. I think there are realizing lsx owners like aggressive cams and that is what they are building.

I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but since I've gotten my Z (almost 2 years ago) I haven't visited the Chevelle website. I've got a '67 RS/SS in the garage waiting for a 502 solid roller, AFR heads, Vic Jr., 950HP Holley, etc to go in. The engine is done and on the engine stand, the Moser is waiting to be installed, I've literally got thousands of dollars worth of parts in the garage and basement, but i've been having so much fun with my LS1 (hey, that rhymes) that I've been really neglecting the "old car" Yeah, I'm a lazy ***!!

I didnt take it the wrong way, I jsut said i dont know, as in... i have no opinion on that statement... but knowing Harold, i have no doubt in my mind, it is so smart about combo's and such its scary.
