oil pump shim does anyone know how much extra pressure you get out of adding a shim like this ???

you i have a new ported ls6 pump i'm putting on even though my pressure was good with the stocker...

Exactly. It is just like a relief valve in a hydraulic system.
I just got a LS6 pump from GM, did a little porting, but did not shim it. I get about 65-70 psi around 6600 rpm. A general rule is 10 psi for every 1000 rpm you turn.
