How much does testing cost?

Depending on the scope of test it could range from $400 to $5000. A company I worked for in the past was in a lawsuit on a broken rocker arm. If memory serves me it was around $1000 to get a failure analysis on it. Another company that I deal with just had damper test done to monitor harmonics, just the testing not parts cost them $7000.

Has anyone had these sorts of problems with aftermarket or Comp O.E lifters? I thought the comp o.e. lifters came with a steel girdle between the two lifters to help keep them aligned?
looks to me (if i had to guess) that the lifters are coming out of alignment with the cam lobe. If the lifter showed vertical scoring (lines) then I could see spring pressures/pushrod length, but it looks as though CHUNKS of the lifters are coming off... and uneven scoring.
IMO look into a rev kit or comp o.e. lifters with girdle if available? I'm looking to see if there are any posts on the subject (search) ... so far i've found none.
