Help Big Problem!
well i was driving my car yesterday and the ses light came on. So i opened up the hood and saw that my slp lid was half way off. To top it off one of the clips that holds the lid down is gone! and we all know where it went. This sucks i have no idea what the hell to do.
Basically your buying a new lid...find out how that happened though cause you dont want that **** happening again.
EDIT* Misread the post.

i REALLY doubt it went in your motor. if by some freak of nature it did make its way into the lid you would have to have been WOT for it to get sucked up. And even then it would get stuck on the MAF (even if it dosen't have the screen in it anymore), or on youe TB (if you werent WOT). Worst case scenario it went in your intake and is just sittin there on the bottom.

Turn off the back o2's, that solves 1/2 the problem.
As for your lid issue, I'm guessing that they are gonna scan your car and come up with a lean bank one, lean bank 2, because while the lid was off the MAF got dirty, and isn't reading right, causeing unmetered air to make it into the motor. Get a new clip from the dealer before you even have the car scanned, and while you haev the lid off, get some carb clean and hose the maf out really good, to make sure it's clean, and you mine as well pull the TB too and clean that. If the clip did get sucked into the motor, which I doubt, but if it did, it will be sitting at your MAF screen, and if you have no maf screen, then it could have made it into the motor.
For all you guys that remove the maf screen, let this be a lesson, this is a perfect reason not to remove it, that and it doesn't realy help to remove it, other then making the MAF not read properly.

i ended up getting a new 02 sensor, and i replaced it with the passenger side header sensor. a few minutes later the ses light went out. now my 242 cam idles like stock again, well not exaclty like stock.
