the crank is what changes to classify a stroker kit - most stroker motors are bored out as well

the stroke of the crankshaft and the bore of the cylinders is what determines the displacement of any engine (cubic inch displacement, cid, ci, x.xL, etc) the term "Stroker" refers to a crankshaft that has a larger stroke than the original crankshaft. the larger stroke increases the displacement of the engine. the stroke of the crankshaft is twice the measurement from the crank centerline to the connecting rod journal centerline.
