Default How to break in new combo?

I am about to put in a whole new setup in my car(when the heads come in so TSP can finish my motor) Rearend, Trans(A4), LS2 403, and fuel system. I dont know how I would go about breaking everything in before bringing it in to get it tuned. I just dont want to show up at the dyno with everything brand new and run the hell out of it, from what I gathered it would not be good for long term realiability? Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks in advance.

the shop that did some egine work for me said that they just turn the car on and let it idle till it reaches operating temp, then they shut it off. They let it cool all the way down and then turn it back on and let it idle till it reaches oper. temp and then your good to go.

trans and rear need heat cycles too as well as miles.

Roller cams dont need breakin...just good oil.

Question

I'm wondering on this one, too.

New engine (forged LS6)
New clutch (McLeod twin disc)
New rear (9" w/new gears)

All with a PTK 67 mm/FMIC/methanol. My thought has been to just have a nice safe tune put on the car (2bar SD) and drive it easy on city/highway for a couple hundred miles prior to doing the performance tune and going max power.

Especially with regard to the gears; I would think hopping right onto the dyno for a bunch of runs might be a bad idea for breaking 'em in... Or am I wrong?

No...on the rear end and clutch. I would put a couple hundred on the clutch and rear first. I would also break the motor in as well using dino oil first then switch to what ever synthetic you use..
