Default Stock block MAX power

How much horsepower can a stock LS1 block hold with fully forged/billet internals? This will be a nitrous application.

Sounds good. Basically the block will hold what I throw at it? (within reason) Like 800-900 rwhp should be no problem with internals? Also whats the weakist part in our motors? Rods, pistons or the crank or something else

Nitrous is because its more of a shock and theres a higher cyl. pressure with a nitrous application.

I was told aluminum blocks become structurally unstable past about 900bhp.

Excess of 1000 rwhp is no problem for the block itself.
The real trick is to keep the heads from lifting off.

And what's the trick for that??

I thought the sleeves were the weak point, now the heads too?

I will be coming close to testing this myself!!! Big cubes on n20, I am afraid to go too big of a shot though on aluminum.

Studs and thicker deck heads (AFR, ETP and now DART)

Sleeves are not a weak point on stock blocks, but on resleeved that is another matter. (Depends who dun it)
I would never trust but 1 company, R-E-D

How much nitrous are you thinking of throwing at it? Keep the stock crank and block, forge the pistons and rods. Get heads with a thicker deck and tap for half inch head studs. I think youll have a hard time breaking that.

stock are M11, which are impossible to find except the custom ARP studs. A machine shop can drill and tap for a larger bolt or stud. I wouldnt trust doing it yourslef with an angle drill with the motor still in the car though!
