Uh no........not meaning to offend you, but what would you gain by just running a better than stock spring on a stock cam. You could run 918's with stock cam, but there would be no need unless you were doing a cam later maybe

Its not for a gain, its so when I rev my car up to where I want too, it doesnt get valve float and just for the extra protection. Since I left the dealership, this car has seen atleast 6,200 every day of its life, and now with 35000 miles, im experencing valve float around 6300.
Thanks guys.

I'm running 01 LS6 springs in my 2000 Z28. No probs here. I had to replace the stockers at 7500 miles because the valves were floating at 5500 rpm. I have not expirenced valve float since and the car now has 71K on her.

I was losing 40+ RWHP at 5500 rpm's on the dyno. Also, At 5500 it felt as if you let up half off the throttle for a second, then hammered back down on it. It was noticable in 2nd gear, and couldn't miss it in 3rd.
