Default ferrea Valves with ported heads , will compression go up?

Hi
I have a set of Absolute speed heads
They are 241 castings and flow around 290 CFM at 550-600 lift

they only have stock 2001-2002 2.00-1.55 valves in them
and they are stock compression.

If i was to install a set of bigger ferrea 2.02-1.57 valves will the bigger valves raise the compresion

Please let me know,
thank you for your help

but they are a little thicker , wont that take up space in the combustion chamber and raise compression?

Bigger valves could raise the compression a small amount if they sit higher on the seat, thereby lowering the combustion chamber cc's. Your friend's Manley's most likely did not lead to his blow motor, though, and I doubt it raised his CR more than a .25 - .5 points max.

Jim

you mean .025 and .050 which is like going 11.1 to 11.025.1 which does nothing at all
