224/224 581/581 114 Tune Questions
FOr you experienced 224 cam guys:
Please describe your driveability with an M6
Any stalling
Any surging
Can you drive it in rush hour traffic
Any problems in tight parking lots
Were you able to get these issues corrected on the firdt dyno tune
Any other experienced comments.
I've scheduled my install date and I want to be sure I buy the right cam for my DD.

Depending on tune most people do have idle problems until engine has fully warmed up and computer has locked on idle. I have to set at a stop sign about 20 seconds until idle locks @950rpm.

Cam in sig..... No problems whatsoever after tuning with this cam. It finds it's idle as soon as the starter engages, no hint of hunting for idle. I DD my SS about every day except when it's snowing and it's the perfect DD cam. As with any cam the driveability will go hand in hand with the skill of the man that tunes it. Don't skimp on the tune and find a tuner that will not only perform WOT tuning on the dyno but also include some street runs to get the driveability even better.
With your 4.10s it should be bread and butter.
I would have my tune looked at if it cannot find idle for that long......

Extreemly MILD surging when I'm in a high gear, at a low speed, and trying to excellerate. I was just as worried as you before I put mine in. You can check for my posts. This cam is PERFECT for a DD. I have no issues, and haven't lost much fuel efficiency. You can still cruize 35 mph in 6th gear no problem.
Good luck!!

Thanks CaptUSA. This is the kind of info I'm looking for. After going out to ls1.sounds yesterday, I thought about backing off of the new cam after listening to some sound clips. Your info is very helpful.
