Well, everyone has there own opinion. We could all prove our points from 10 diffrent angles, but when it comes down to it, some people are just more passive and look farther into the situation than others. In the end, we have 2 people,
1. Someone who is handed a free dollar. Myself, I'll take the dollar and run.
2. Then you have the guy who would ask "why" are you giving me this?

You guys definitely have some interesting viewpoints.

I own a business and would fully expect to be blamed for a problem like this as the owner of the business. You are paying ME to provide YOU with the product I was selling. If I promised you a camshaft w/my name on it and it didn't work then I broke MY promise. It doesn't matter WHY or HOW the cam was bad. What matters is that I did not fulfill my end of the deal. You gave me money (you have fulfilled your duty) I gave you a bad cam (failure). Yeah it sucks but if you are going to sell a product with your name on it be prepared to take the good with the bad. Passing the buck or playing the blame game doesn't cut it in business. I've learned this the hard way.

Daewoo builds the Chevrolet Aveo.If Aveos started blowing up at random tomorrow would GM have a press conference and say PLEASE do not blame us it's Daewoos fault!

Doubtful..

It doesn't mean AF is a bad guy or his company sucks. This means he passed on a bad product and didn't fulfill his part of the deal. Plain and simple. If he chooses to give out new cams: great!. That's his choice and it's the consumers who get to decide if that is enough to maintain his good reputation.

Like it or not that is how things work.

Hey I agree with most people here. I understand that things like this can happend. But you have to understand that the people that already ran into problems have a right to complain and show their unhappiness. This isn't a defective DVD or xbox we are talking about. We are talking about thousands of dollar engines. It takes a lot of time, effort, and money to fix the lift and cam damage that has been caused

And everyone else that bought FM cams have a right to be concerned. It's like your sitting on a ticking time bomb, waiting for something bad to happend.

Also because FMS did that group purchase special and sold A LOT of cams. And unfortunally all those cams were part of the defective batch. It's also very unfortuante that the FM13's are their most popular cams as well.

[QUOTE=darrensls1]I was one step away from pulling the trigger on a FM13 or FM14 cam.

I on an F14 yesterday. I have faith in FMS that if there was a problem with there cams it has been corrected and they will stand behind any past problems.

They have great support, customer service I have never had a problem with. They have always been a great to me and anyone I talk to that deal with them.

Personally am running a F13 and checked everything and installed everything even set the springs up as recommended. I have faith in their product and support them fully until I have reason to believe otherwise. "Just say" that most if not almost all the failures were a bad batch of Cams, That does not mean that they are a bad Vendor or do not deserve the support they have earned over the past years!!

If you have ever owned or been part of a business you would understand that sometimes things like this happen. I am also not surprised that they have not made a statement yet or even if they do. If they were to it could harm then more than it already possibly is. Everyone would be holding them accountable for what they post. When the reality is that even though I hate to say it it may take time and to look at each one on a one by one basis.

Remember they are still running a business ant with them doing so it benefits us!!

Besides Know one from Futral asked us to put a Cam in our cars, there is no warranty when you start playing this game and if you live a realistic life you know that when you start doing what we are doing your only playing with fire and things ARE going to break and fail.

Would you blame them if you broke your 10 bolt???
I agree 100%, Futral is a great company and their support is excellent. I'm completely satisfied with my F13 and Allen is real patient at answering technical questions.
