Default LS1 balancer tool??

Does anybody have a Kent Moore LS1 balancer installer tool?? I just bought one and have no idea how it works.. It's for a 6.0 LQ9 and I think it works for this also, so I was told. The pieces that came with it will not thread into the crank end, tool is much bigger so I have no idea unless they sent me the wrong one.

I've used the same one on several 5.3s, more LS1s than I can count and one 02 6.0L. They all used the same crank bolt too. Does the size and threads on the tool look like the crank bolt you took out?

Attached are pics of the damper installation tool J-41665. This tool has three pieces: An all-thread bolt M16x2 (about 8 inches long), a .25" thick washer (2" OD, 0.653" ID), and a spacer??? (not sure how to describe it) that clears the crank snout. I'll try to post the actual dimensions later.

I don't know if I can explain this clearly enough, but....

The nut and washer need to be threaded back toward the bolt head. Then the piece you have in your hand in the 2nd photo slides on the bolt with the smaller hole toward the bolt head. Thread the long bolt into the crank after the balancer is placed on the crank. Once you have the long bolt threaded into the crank, you use the nut to push the cylindrical piece against the balancer and press the balancer back onto the crank.

Maybe someone else can explain it more clearly, but I tried.

Dimensions on the piece to clear the crank snout are in the attachment. If anyone is interested in the autocad file, pm me.

Looks like that tool forces you to use a wrench to install the pulley. I prefer using a big ratchet and deep socket. The short all-thread tool I use can also be used as stop for the puller when removing the pulley.
