Default Cam install done!

Well, the car fired up tonight. We put in the 230/236 on a 112 and had a bit of difficulty the last day because our valve spring tool took a crap on us, but the guys that did my install were troopers and stuck with it till it was done tonight! It fired up on the first try, and found it's idle after not too long. It didn't die once, didn't really surge too much, and didn't throw any misfire codes idling for about 15 minutes or so. It idled surprisingly well, didn't even die when it was slipped into drive! Just thought I'd share the news with everyone, as I'm pretty ecstatic right now. BIG thanks go out to Joey and Jason! You guys kick ***.

Make sure you let the springs go through 1-2 complete heat cycles and complete cool-downs before you get on it. Other than that...have fun...cams rule!

Be sure to post up dyno #'s/track times. What valve springs are you running with it?

Thanks all for the positive replies! The car goes to HPE tomorrow morning for tuning. Not expecting greater numbers being that my verter won't lock but it'll be nice to have it tuned. Oh, and setxws6, go race Jason.

Sounds like a nicely put together setup. Let us know what you put down/run at the track. It's kind of funny that your 230/236 spec'd at 233/237, because my TRak (supposed to be a 231/234) spec'd at 233/235, they would be close but it turns out I have .648" intake lift!
