Default T-rex Install should I do Lifters?

I am doing a T-Rex install and just seeing if it would be smart to do lifters also while it is apart? If so should I use new factory ones or get some aftermarket ones? Also is there anthing I should do special when installing lifters?

Keep in mind you have to pull the heads to do the lifters. Anything from stock replacements (Comp Cams), to Melling, to Morel. Anything will work but if your engine is lower mileage I wouldnt worry about them.

I am doing it very soon here I am just going to put the QA1 R series fronts, and the rear QA1 Coilovers in first.

My engine has about 46,000 on it so I may be good as far as lifters for now. I have already started saving for the ETP heads

NEGATIVE on the wait fellas. If you're going to put in the T-Rex, it has VERY aggressive cam lobes, and I guarantee you that your stockers are not going to be up to the job. To top it off, I'm pretty sure that in 2000 they started putting in the "newer" stock lifters. So, if you wind up having the "old" stockers, you're really screwed. Replace them, and don't look back, because otherwise you'll definitely be kicking yourself down the road.

I would do them! That is a very agressive cam, why do the job twice when you can to RIGHT the first time? Those lifters are gonna give out eventually anyway with that cam. You might want to think about rocker arms also. My buddy and I just finished his head/cam swap with HPE's C cam, and we have been regretting not doing the lifters and rocker arms ever since. My suggestion....DO THEM.

I would definitely upgrade as well for reasons stated above. Maybe a prime time to get some different head gaskets too for added insurance with the T-Rex.

Any recommendations on what lifters and rockers to go with. There are a few to choose from.

A buddy of mine just went to the comp cams lifters, and will soon be doing the jesel rocker arms. That's probably what I would suggest.

You guys saying aftermarket rockers and lifters are retarded. Im running the cam in my sig with stock lifters and stock rockers. The guy is going to be doing heads soon wait till then and do it. I wonder how many of oyu that are saying do the lifters have actually pulled the heads off your car. Thats retarded to do all that work just to 3-4 months later pull the heads for new ones. The stock rockers will be fine and with the mileage on your lifters you will be fine till the head swap.

I will just do it right the first time and put a new set in, then I can put on new head gaskets and head studs.

What brand lifters should I go with?
