I def don't think there is enough room to pull it from the top with the tranny attached. I pulled just my engine from the top and that was a b*tch enough. Although, I guess if you could get a steep enough angle when you were pulling it to where the front of the engine was pointing almost straight up you could do it. Dropping it from the bottom would be a much easier way to go though.

i've done it many times. yes its possible. but not easy.
I'de rather drop the tranny and pull the motor out by itself.
installing it with the tranny on is alot easier.

Why not seperate them and pull the motor out the top, tranny out the bottom or take them both out through the bottom?

I guess the answer is that it is possible.

Have done it several times. After the first time, it was easy to do. Jack the front end up about a foot and a half. That will give you enough room. Put the cherry picker on an angle so your motor and tranny almost face straight up and down(tranny tailshaft towards the floor) and slowly pull it up and out. You may have to adjust the lift a little here and there but you will get it. I also did it with the heads still on and it wasn't that bad at all. There are a bunch of threads in here on how to do it. Good luck.

Just drop it out the bottom. It is really simple. That was how I did mine.
