Many will say no many will say yes. I say yes as long as they are 2002+ with the lightweight valves. Also make sure they dont tell you they do have the light weight valves just because of the 243 casting. There are a lot of 243 heads that have the standard stainless valves floating around out there from caddys and gto's.
Take the heads to a local spreed machine shop and have them touched up for a few more horse, bowl blend and whatnot

Depends on the price. If they are an amazing deal, go for it. If not, check out some of the sponsors for some inexpensive heads.

I say no since you can get the same castings (243) ported with stainless standard valves for (~$875>900)
Livernois, TSP and PP do them

Much cheaper than a non ported set of LS6 with sodium valves (~$1200) and more performing too.

Agree. The valves would be appealing. Keep in mind you can buy new LS6 heads ported from TSP for 900$.

We can sell you a pair of CNC ported 243 castings with OEM (non-sodium) valves and LS6 valve springs for $865.00. Or we can give you a great price on porting your heads. Give us a call and we can go over all the options.
