Default Thoughts on my set-up..

Ok guys, this is the set-up I'm gettin ready to install. If anyone has one close to it or has seen #'s on a set-up close to mine, chime in & give me a idea of how much power & torque this will make. Also I'm not exactly sure how high this cam needs to rev. Any info on this is appreciated. I'm guessing 6500 RPM???

Custom Grind Comp Cam--- 232/238 .574/.586 112+*4
PRC Spring kit
TSP 7.400" Hardened Pushrods
TSP Modified LS6 Oil Pump
LS2 Timing Chain
Pacesetter Coated Race LT's (deleting AIR/EGR)
TSP ORY
Ram Powergrip (w/01' slave)
Ported/Polished 02' TB
ARP Rod Bolts
New plugs/wires (not sure what would be best though)
Dyno Tune

I plan on buying a LS6 intake, ASP Underdrive pulley & some UMI suspension pieces not long after. Gotta get more funds.

Sounds good might want to do the pully when you do the cam swap so you dont have to do it twice. Are you getting a flywheel with your clutch?? My guess on power 400wrhp 390wrtq. Good luck. Also dont forget the oil pump O ring.

Thats the power/tq I'm lookin for. Anyone heard a cam or have a clip of one with similar specs goin thru Pacesetter LT, ORY & Hooker?? How lumpy will it be & where do you think it will make most its power with the given specs???

My cam isn't as big as the one your putting in but it's still the reverse split and it sounds mean as hell compaired to the TR224 I had in my old setup. I dont think you'll be disapointed.

it would probably sound similar to a g5x2 (232/240)...search ls1sounds for clips.

i would guess you'll be shifting ~6,800 for max effort from that cam. will have a fairly tame idle and should drive very well on the street.

i'll guess 380rwhp and 370 rwtq. no ls6 intake will kill your top end power. and no pulley will make itself evident, too.

have you thought about the 232/234 59x 59x ?that cam is pretty popular but it does have more agressive lobes.i'll say 410 hp,375 tq with the ls6 intake and ud pulley.

I already have this cam at home, only paid $200 & it only has 50 miles on it. Came with cam card from Comp.

Doesnt matter if it had 10k or 50 miles. Hydraulic rollers do not wear enough because of mileage. Unless you have a bad grind from the get go. Think that the cam is fine. I would run it.
