Fireball, wouldn't the 225's make more hp at the top but lose hp and torque at the low and mid-range? Which would be fine for the track I'm sure, but why not go all out with the 240's then?

Using 225's on a 3.900 is a good idea in some cases. If it is higher RPM and compression you will need the port volume. If it is a 346 daily driver pump gas head/cam and a few bolt ons then the best thing is to use a 215. It is all on the combination of what you are doing. For a stock bottom end with a supercharger I like the 225's. If it is really radical supercharged ( over 18 psi and 7000rpm ) or Race ( high compression 14:1 +, solid roller etc. etc. ) only 346 the 245's are what I like to see. Thats just my thoughts, everyone is different in the way they like to build things.

I teetered between the 225 and 240. I chose the 225 since I'm not pushing a SR cam. I'm not worried about low range as this is mostly a track car.
