Default going from a 1.7 to a 1.75 comp rocker?

I am doing a H/C swap on my car and I was told to use an adjustable rocker arm set up to get all the lifter preloads set correctly. Due to differant ptv clearances on each cylinder.
Well I found a used set of comp pro magnums that are 1.75 ratio is the FS section and was wondering the differance in ptv clearance with running the 1.75.

The cam is a 591/601 lift. Do I divide the lift by the 1.7 and then multiply 1.75.

If so my new lift would be 608/618 is this correct.

If so, I may have to flycut a little more on the intake valves. as I only have .080" right now with the stock rockers.

If this is correct, I will need to cut another .017" off of the int side of the piston. I have .080" PTV clearance right now and want to keep it at that.

What's involved in installing these rockers? Several aftermarket rockers require that you use valve cover spacers or do some grinding on the covers. Are these going to require any modifing to run?
BTW, If you decide not to use them, I've been looking for a set for a few weeks.

i think they will need spacers. Witch will not bother me any. I just painted my valve covers red with the coil brkts. My **** will be bling bling with my freshly painted fast int.

you will have to clearance the valvecovers...no matter what the ads say..

Call comp to get recommended preload. usually .008-.010" cold using a dial indicator...but i dont know you lifter.

As you and I discussed, that preload sounds like it's for a comp r lifter.

As you said, call to be sure.

I have the comp 850-16 OEM style lifters. What should the preload be? Thats one thing I'm not real clear about.
