TEA Stage 1.5 5.3L Heads are good for the $$$. Supposed to be a good combo with 224's.

Most (maybe all) of the sponsors of this site offer the AFR heads.

From what I have seen, Texas Speed has them for the lowest price. It will be VERY difficult for you to find any bad feedback on these heads. A year from now I think we'll see aftermarket castings really taking a hold of the LS1 market. At this point, AFR is the leader in this arena.

The only downfall is the price.

What more information would you like?

Sounds like price is no object. In that case choose either the AFR 205s or the ET Performance 215 heads. Both are proven performers and are worth the premium.

im looking on going with AFR, TEA , PRC from TX speed, or HPE heads. But I would like to find the best bag for the buck. Also what valve size should I go with, thinking 2.02 and 1.60 and should I have them milled or no. "not sure what that means" let me know what you guys think.

When you say best bang for the buck you must have a dollar amount in mind that you want to spend. The heads you mentioned range in price from 1k-2.2k, so what do you want to spend? The heads get better as the price increases.

Milling the heads means to shave off some material on the surface that faces the pistons, to increase compression.

Were those out of the box or WCCH Edelbrock heads?
