Default plugs fouling out real quik

I just put some tr6 plugs in..I need some good advice...I have a 1979 camaro..with 03 vette ls6..with dart pro heads..fuel injected..bigger injectors..not sure the exact size..previous owner installed those..and the dart pro 1 heads..as well as a pretty healthy cam..very nice lope .should I use these plugs? If so what should I gap them too? Or should I put tr55 s in? I ran the tr6 plugs up the road and back..with a .45 gap...they already completely black...what should I do? Smells of fuel...in my garage..really bad

sounds like you need to retune to lean it out. spark plugs wont help a fueling issue

i just threw a high compression 5.3 with a giant cam i spec'd for a stroker, and some decently worked over 5.3 heads w/ 2.02/1.57's. i have always run a tr5 gapped around .050 with absolutely no issues in any motor until now. This thing is eating tr5's. it appears to be too hot of a plug for the compression. I went back to a tr6 and haven't had an issue yet

Generally, TR6 is going to your generic go to plug for heads and cam upgrades. Various theories on where to gap it. On a HCI engine, 5's can cause detonation
