Default Replace 18k mile lifters?

I have a shortblock with 18k on it which I'm using for my car, do I need to replace the lifters? I dont see a reason to with 18k on the thing but I dont know. What do you guys think?

They should be ok unless they have been used on a very mild motor assembly. Also depends on what your future valvetrain consists of. mathc everything

What do you mean by 'mild motor assembly'? The car it came out of was a stock 02 WS6, ran a 13.5 so it can't be that hardcore, lol. I have some lifters from Gaterman Products, but I dont know if they are better than the stockers. They seem very well built. But I dont know.

those would be fine as long as there were no previous issues with them....

I think you will be ok unless you went with an agressive H/C set up in the future. My buddy had 51K before he replaced his.
