Default Car Acting Funny

My car has been tuned and running fine until yesterday when I noticed a little more valvetrain noise than usual in the higher rpm range. Then on my way home today I pull up to a stop sign and it dies. Samething when I letoff of the gas going around a corner. It starts right bcak up but dies shortly after. It stayed running for a while but after I revved it up a little it died again. My valvetrain noise is louder that before. Acts like it is flooding or something. Loose rocker? Broken spring? (I have duals btw) Any suggestions?

Might want to pull the rocker covers and check it out. How is your oil pressure?? Did you replace your lifters when you did the heads??

Oil pressure is staying high 60 psi plus. 45 or so @ idle. I reused the old lifters. I have maybe 1500 miles on the car since the h/c swap.

Sounds like a collapsed(ing) lifter, or a bent pushrod. Any mechanical over-revs that you were aware of?
Also...Do you have a ported pump?

I have the stock 01 oil pump. It has kept steady oil pressure so far. I have the comp hi-tec chrome moly rods. I also installed arp rod bolts. There has been a few 7200 revs but I would think that the supporting upgrades would be able to handle it. Being that the heads were used I figure the springs are giving out. Maybe that bent a rod or valve? I experienced valve float @7200.

Most likely float @ 7200 might have bent a valve.

I pulled the valve covers and the springs and rockers look fine. Any way to check valves and pr's w/o pulling the heads?

The pushrods are fine also. I guess the next step is a leakdown test. Any other suggestions?
