Just bought this cam, waiting for lifter tool to come in so I can begin install. there was a dyno posted that made 410rwhp/380rwtq or so off of this cam, with just ls6 intake true duals ported tb etc, all the little bolt ons. when I install it anywhere from 385-400 I'll be happy.
Now that I think about it I could lose power and not give a **** as long as I have that lopey sound.

00SLPSS-lifter tool?? i've done 5-cam swaps in my own car(one two weeks ago) and one in my buds car and never used a cam tool. use 5/16 dowel rod from home depot, roll the car over by hand a few times, then pull her out. i have never had any problems this way in 6-cam swaps.

My car was a 99 z28 with full bolt on 3500 stall and tr230 cam. I got about 16mpg mixed driving but i never could keep my foot out of it. As far as cam tool i use 5/16 brake line about 21 inches long and it worked perfectly.

How are you guys getting those dowels in? I could never get mine to slide in. So i just roled the cam a bunch of times and swapped cams real quick. Never had a problem. Did that with my car and a buddys. Now im about to do it again on my car as soon as my damn cam gets here.
