well i can't find 5w-40 anywhere so i should i just go to the m1 0w40?

I went that route with mine and my oil consumption and piston slap got a hell of a lot worse then when I was running M1 10w30. My next oil to try is the 5w40 b/c my oil consumption is still pretty bad after switching back.

how about 15w50 m1 for spring and summer use?

I hope wally world will carry the supposed equivalents, Turbo Diesel 5W-40 or Delvac 1. If not, will have to see if the new Castrol European Formula, which is supposed to be the replacement for the green GC, gets wider distribution, making it easier to find. .
Autozone near me carries the 0W-30 German Castrol. It says Euopean formula on the bottle. I bought 1 of the 2 cases in the store.
