Default All-bore motor combinations- who's running one?

Check in if you're running an all-bore motor with stock stroke? What's your combination, and how is it working?

Thanks!

I'm running a 370 cubic inch motor that was buit using a 6.0 liter truck block bored .030 over and a stoke stroke crank. The motor was built three years ago and now has about 25,000 miles on it. Other than lifting the heads a couple of times it has been bulletproof. Dynos over 600 and runs 6.7s in the 1/8th mile with a raceweight of almost 4000 pounds. My car would be fast if it and I both went on a diet.........

Screw these 402 s, this is the way to go. Built 402 what a piece of crap. Had 382 all bore (4.100 x 3.62) sold before we ran in car dynoed on engine dyno and when both motors were in same trim (cam, heads, intake etc.) the 382 made the 402 look bad. If had to do again would build sleeved LS2 block 4.155 x 3.62 use stock crank and you would get real close to 400 inches and have almost the same money in both. You could do as the stated above and build 370. The stock stroke is more than enough stroke to make good torque and power.

I was thinking about doing a 3.900 stroke and 4.125 bore which equals to 416ci , did any body done this before?

Im in the process of research for my all bore motor right now. Not sure on my exact specs yet. Somewhere betwene 4.125 and 4.200 bore, just depends on how much things cost at the time of the build. I know ill end up runing a stock type (L92, or LS7) head and intake. Ill get the rod journals turned down to 1.88 and some other misc stuff. Im going agressive with it. My goal is 550+rwhp.

Doing 370 myself as we speak with nitrous pistons. 200>300 shot for 700+ rwhp target.

Big bore, short stroke its a killer set up. They only down side is the price tag because you have to resleeve a block. Resleeving process is not perfect and have a chance of dropped sleeve. If you can pick up a bare LS7 block and run a stock crank that would be a sweet set up. But for the price of a 402 its hard to say no to it.

What are the advantages of an all-bore setup? Isn't 'square' (same stroke/bore) supposed to be superior?

I don't have a bigger cubes all bore stroker, but my little .010" over bore 348ci LS1 does pretty good. Numbers in sig. I don't have any nitrous numbers yet, but I am gonna be spraying at least a 200 shot. Those numbers were before adding the aluminum flywheel, with only one cutout instead of the current dual setup I have, and with only 500 miles on the motor.

I like my 347 as well. 441/407. Gettin ready to bolt on a fast 90/90, and gonna be adding a set of cnc'd dart 205's as soon as they get finished porting them. Hoping to hit 465-480 rwhp and about 430 tq. Also a nitrous man myself.
