Default Stock ported heads

I was wondering im going to forge my motor to handle a 300 shot and was wondering about heads, Im going to do an MS3. I dont really need all the power all the time i want to get most power from spray. So I dont want to buy any big name heads, I just want to get my heads ported (stock heads) or buy a set of ported stock ones. How much will it cost to get this done? Also how often do they come around on the for sale section?

I think the hassle of pulling off your heads and getting them worked on wouldnt be worth it, i'd get some LS6 heads from one of the sponsers, they have some good deals, or if you can get lucky try to find some p&p'd 241's, the 853's arent as good, and are harder to get a good job done on them due to restrictions of the actual heads.

what are your goals for this car? and really whats the reason to run such a large shot? cam and bolt ons gets you 11s cam and bolt ons with 100 shot gets you 10s as long as rest of combo is up to par

TSP, PP sell 243 castings, Stage 1 (meaning stock valves, CNC ported) with LS6 yellow stripes (good to .570 lifts) for $875>900

I know stage 1s are ported only & have stock valve sizes(not tryin to be a smartass or anything, just sayin i knew that) but what cars have the 853's and which ones are 243sHow much power would you pick up on average w/ these PP Stages on a bolt-on f14 232/234 .598/.598 112lsa cam thru a built 4L60-e w/vig3200 and a 12-bolt w/ 3.73(I'm at 394rwhp locked right now) Can i get them to work with my cam lift of .598 w/ diffrent parts since the PP 1s are good to only .570?? drop rocker ratios or forget it and go PP LS6 stage2 for $1400 bucks? Either way, im gonna have to wait awhile cuz alot of unexpected expenses have come up in the last week!!!
Thanks for any input

243's are LS6 castings (so all Z06 had them), but Z06 heads come with lightweight hollow valves. These are 05+ LS2 heads with stainless valves. That is the only difference.
Now for the cam: FM14 is too big to benefit from those heads without flycutting since you need to mill to raise SCR and DCR.
A smaller cam on a tighter LSA without flycutting will make more power accross the power range. Maybe not peak, but where it matters.
If you already have the cam the heads with duals will help but the setup will not be maximised.
This is the overcammed theory and application. (which few poeple want to hear about, because a lot of poeple believe bigger is better)
