Neither, with cam technology today, go with a custom cam vs. a off the shelf grind.

Thanks for the graph! Those are impressive numbers and not a bad time for a 2 sec '60. I wonder how the X4 would work with a set of CNC LS6 heads. Anyone have number with that? Or any other setup with these cams and heads?

It'll help with torque down low somewhat(little bump in SCR) and will show gains of hp and tq all across the board because of the great low-mid lift numbers.

Those are nice numbers with a G5X4. I'm assuming that those numbers were made through a 10 bolt? I figure that my 9" is eating up atleast 15 rwhp/15 rwtq. With just the MS3 I only gained 10 rwhp/6 rwtq from the FAST 90/NW 90 over my LS6 intake and ported stock TB. Not disappointed, but I expected a little more. It would work a lot better if I put some better heads on there.

Look at that low trq, a true indication of overcamming on a low DCR.
425 but 370 trq (should be 425/ ~400 trq)

How would a custom 239/247 .649/656 109LSA+1 cam (high lift TRex) work with the LS6 heads? Would the torque numbers be better than 400 due to the increase in DCR? I believe that the power curve would look much better and still have pretty impressive peak numbers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Also, what springs would be required with a cam with lift that high?

that will be a really wild cam, i'm taking it those are on LSK lobes. It put down some really good power, but your going to need some good springs to hold that much lift.

Yes they will be on LSK lobes. My question is what type of springs will I need? Will Patriots dual spings good to .650 lift be enough or since that cam lifts to .656 will I need better springs? If so, which ones? Thanks

I've looked around at some sponsor's sites and I can only find PRC springs good to .660 lift. Is there a site you know of that sells them??

A low DCR can be overcome by gears

The PRC Platinums are rated at .660, not .670. You can find them at Texas Speed and Performance .

I HATE when people type this ****. It pisses me off. Dynos are for tuning, not bench racing. Track numbers are different. The X4 for your information, is smaller than the MS3 on both Duration and Lift. Bigger for both doesn't always mean better numbers. The MS3 is just as good as the TREX and X4.

Explain to me how my MS3 powered Camaro with only 360hp/300tq went 10.85@126.4 with stock heads, LS6 Intake, ported TB, and 3275 raceweight and +1500 DA?
