Then 6K clutch dumps, you read 6800 but it is closer to 7K, and a 3100 lbs car and an awsome driver

I meant what is high in stall size to you. Yes, it has a converter and stock gears. It is all about how the car is setup. You won't go fast if you can't get the power to the ground.

Explain to me how my MS3 powered Camaro with only 360hp/300tq went 10.85@126.4 with stock heads, LS6 Intake, ported TB, and 3275 raceweight and +1500 DA?
ummm I think you miss read their reply. Note the flag, I suspect they where being sarcastic as someone else said the MS3 didn't make the power and they simply replied with a sarcastic remark.

The other giveaway is they actually have a MS3 listed in their sig............

That is because I use a Proportioning valve with my VIG 3200 and nitrous, that way I can brake stall higher than any one could normaly. I can cut 1.5 60' and ran a 11.13 @ 122 NA with the TRQR V2/PRC 2.5 etc... and mid low 10's on juice.
I'm an old timer at this, yet learning everyday, I LOOOVE drag.

I'm not dissing the MS3 all I was saying is the person you "Quoted" and appear to direct your comment at was actually on your side also running a MS3 rather than one of the people with the derogatory comments.

But hay what do I know.

Yeah, I have decided not to spray my car and just ordered a new 4600 converter, and throwing a new set of gears as well. We'll see how the MS3 runs with the new setup. I will let you know.

Hey 4thgenCamaro, are you running a set of heads with your MS3 or are they stock?

I never discredited the ms3 for the power it makes. I just think that the t-rex and x4 make better(more useable midrange) power and pull up top like raped apes like the ms3.

I believe that the power curve would look much better and still have pretty impressive peak numbers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Also, what springs would be required with a cam with lift that high?
wouldnt u need to flycut for a cam like htat?

good thread, i will be *hopefully* getting myself a cam soon... someone mentioned the "texas giant"... i thought that was the Trex... am i missing something?

yeah, the texas giant is a stroker cam..something like 248/254 i think..on a default lsa of 113..

the reason you can run MORE lift with that particular cam (239/247 .649/656 109LSA+1) is because of the LSK lobes being used. they close FASTER than pretty much every other lobe i've seen on the market for an lsx cam. thanks to patrick g i have re-thought my custom cam, and lsk lobes are now a big part of it.
