Emissions confusion
Last time the car passed emissions it was prior to the mods
Got into a conversation with a got at a tire place down here this afternoon, and he is convinced I wont pass with the 228r tsp cam @ 112 .588/.588 and witht he pacesetter lt's and catted Y.
Granted, I didn;t think it would have a problem, but this guy seems to swear it won't lol
I know cali has to worry about what size cam to put in to pass smog and such.
Anyone able to rest my worried mind lol. Damn that Steve tire guy

If you live in Charlotte I have a place that never looked twice at my SS other then noticing it dancing with the 112lsa. Its the emissions place on South Blvd, they just do EBDII. In and out, 5 minutes. They spend more time checking if I had cats, tire tread was right, lights worked and if all the filters/hoses were in the right place.
When you take off your AIR, EGR, rear o2's, the computer will test the "readiness" of these componets to see if they are working correctly. With tuning software you can set all the readiness codes to show "ready" regardless if they really are or not.
96-00 cars cannot have more than 2 "not ready" codes.
01+ cars cannot have more than 1 "not ready" code.
If your car has too many "unready" codes, it does not fail, they will want you to go drive your car around for a certain amount of miles and come back to repeat the test. But you just need to make sure your tuner selected all the items accordingly.
There's a big difference between your cam and the one mentioned. Your's only has -3 degrees overlap which should barely pass, while the above cam has +4 which will not pass. If it's just an OBD II test then no worries!
