What lifters??
FWIW, I have read or talked to a few tuners who will put nothing but Morel's or stock into an LSx engine. I have also read some that did use Comp 850's and R's. For me, I've used Comp 850's and Cranes with good results. However, I'm putting Morels in now (I'm going back to my 224/228 "AFR" cam). I figure I don't want to be second guessing myself on not having the best lifter installed once I button it back up.
Morels here, love them, no obscene noises. Must measure for proper preload as with morels it's different than stock. But hey, if you're doing a valvetrain you should ALWAYS measure for proper preload.
