Differences between Camaro and Vette LS1 ?
Well, the oil pump went out on my 98 Camaro and the motor is toast. My dad was lookin at replacin it with a LS1 with 30k miles out of a 98 Vette. What are the differences between one out of a 98 COrvette and one out of a 98 Camaro? Better? Worse? Throw me some input guys.

I think the only difference is the vettes have drive by wire, that is the throttlebody has a servo that drives instead of a cable. Other than that they are the same motors...oh and some Camaros came with dino oil from the factory and some came with synthetic. All vette LS1s came with synthetic as I recall.
I think the Vettes have a different oil pan to, but you'll be re-using the throttle body and oil pan so if it's a good deal go for it.

Your going to have to swap out the TB for a cable one, and swap the oil pan out for a f-body one. But since you have an exsisting LS1 just grab those parts off it and drop it in.
