Default Finally!!!

Well, I finally got my cam installed and it sounds awesome!! I am pretty pleased the the install went rather smoothly. All I need now is a good tune and get the most out of it. Pulls pretty hard in the midrange. I got a lot of help from people here on this site. Thanks. Now I just got to get my rear end fixed (pinion and carrier bearings).....

Its the infamous hotcam 219/228 .525/.525. on a 112.
Oh yeah, I also put in a new oil pump and LS2 timing chain. Just turned over 90k so I thought it wouldnt hurt. That pick up tube was a pain in the @$$.

The only problem I have is that it keeps dying when I turn on the a/c. Obviously because of the extra load. Will the tuning take care of that problem?

what kind of oil pump did you go with? and did you just do the chain or did you get the t/c set?

It should.

Congrats on the upgrade!

kartoon: I used the LS2 timing chain and the LS6 oil pump (which is the standard replacement when ordered).

ShrevolayZ28: My rear end started going out a couple of months before my cam install. I hope tuning takes care of the problem cuz it gets hot as hell here in TX!!!

yeah your tune will get rid of your car dying with the a/c on. Mine also did that after I installed my hot cam, but it all went away after my tune. good luck. hot cam sounds nice doesn't it
