Default Looking for a medium sized cam for an A4...

Hi, I originally bought an LPE GT 2-3 cam thinking it would be enough for me.

Well, I was wrong, I am looking to upgrade to a medium sized cam that will work well off of my stock converter.

Eventually I would like to change to a 2800 stall, but that isn't in the books for the next 6 months.

I was thinking that the G5x1 and CARTEK LX would be possibilities.

I have some Ported Polished and Coated heads and would like to see 400rwhp.

Mandatory requirements are that it not have a lift higher than .600 (I am using 918 springs) and be worth using with the stock converter for about 6 months to a year.

Thanks.

Comp Cam XER273. 224/228 .581/.588 114lsa. Awesome cam and I did run it on a stock converter for a while. Pulled like crazy and had great street manners. It would compliment those heads you are running.

I just got off the phone with thunder racing and they said that even a TR224 isn't best for me since I don't have a TC. Apparently the weight on these cars makes a converter necessary when you get to the TR 224.

been there, 224 on no stall equals surging, fighting the car while stopping, stalling and other things. Do yourself a favor and get a 3200+ stall and you will have a smile from ear to ear. You cant even make good use of that cam with the stock stall.
