they only way you can determine streetable it by your defnition

some people say the MS3 is streetable

i dont think it is... try to find some cars with cams you like... find out the specs and take a ride... possibly even ask to drive it so you can determine

my deffinition of streetable 224/228

ya i get what yall r saying....basically i want a big cam just not one thats soo radical

that its only good for the track...ive seen specs and videos of a camaro with the TSP

magic stick 3 cam and it sounded great and made almost 420 at the wheels with just

bolt ons and stuff...soo would that be a good choice or are MTI's or sum1 elses better?

FM13 baby, I have it, and I wouldnt trade it for another cam out there. The power band/curve is awesome, and when it winds up it gets downright vicious!

nods I was told to get something in the 220-230 range for my streetable cam. Off the shelf ones should do just fine I was told

Then after reading all about Patrick G's threads and suggestions etc.. I am thinking I shoulda got something maybe a little more intake biased. Though even with just a baseline tune, the 228R .588/.588 @112 +2 has been sick It has really nice low-end..

bigger cams are streetable, but alot of people seem to forget to say that you really need to spin these motors up to take advantage of the cam.
while good for the strip, its not that great for the street.
alot of 230 and lower cams will own 230 plus cams on the street.

I like my current cam for the street... It is a XE-R cam. With 62cc heads it strikes a really good balance of street TQ and high reving power...

Yeah, im usually a little too chickenshit to crank up the motor in town. It gets sooo noisy im sure any cop with their windows up would hear me @ WOT above 4k.

So usually I skirt around and zoom between 2-4k. My can with baseline tune seems real responsive. I imagine it will only get better with the right tune. I also love the 4.10 gears for it as well.. Seems the car is always in the 1500+ powerband of the cam. Again I dont know if I should have gone with a cam where VE favored more intake over exhaust or not.. but I am very pleased with my cam and new set-up.

In the end, as long as you are happy with what you got, thats all that counts

I was thinking about that exact same cam as yours dental - I'm assuming you had it ground +2 because your sig says "ls2 timing chain" ?

Yeah it came with a 110 icl. Think it has 4 degrees of overlap and thus fromt he ve calculator it says I favor the exhaust by 4 degrees.

Granted.. I was pretty stressed over trying to choose a cam that wouldn;t ruin my car for when I drive like a retard around town

i rarely see 80mph+.. and rarely go 4500 rpm+
So far my set-up even baseline tuned.. has given me all the fun I wanted for how I drive. When I do go WOT.. its pretty insane Loud, tires screeching and smoking.. sickness tap my forehead and I swear my head would split in two with the grin sooo wide
