Yeah, no way is it retainers. Too large to be retainers....I'm going with the bearing cap.

Should I replace all the rockers with stock ones on with performance if so what kind??

I just bought 8 stock used rockers from another member and replaced the one. This was the first one I had go bad and my car just turned 70K miles. Maybe it's part of the 70K mile maintenance on the '98s.

Buy the rocker rebuilds, because if that is in your oil pan, then you also have a bunch of needle bearings floating around in there.

The rebuilds by Harland Sharpe will keep this from happening again
