hi guys, i just had a cam put in, 224 112 in an a4, and had a couple questions.

1) the motor shakes alot at idle, is that normal?

2) the exhaust smells like gas pretty strong is that normal with a cam, i still have cats on my tsp catted y.

yes, motor shaking is normal. Check your plug wires if you really think its shaking more than normal. SOmetimes the wires dont seat right. Also, it will smell like gas till the cats heat up, then it should get a little better.

 

Those are both normal, and poly motor mounts will take the shake away from your motor.

poly mounts will make the motor shake less, but make the CAR shake MORE... am I right guys?

My F-13 has a decent little shake to it, but its not bad... My buddy (MagikMan) on the board -- has a 224/228 and it doesnt shake bad at all, but you can notice it.

 

Motor shaking normal along with the gas smell, if you want less shake get a custom tune, that helped my setup alot.
