well i guess its the front oil gally plug thats the problem. i looked at my old block and right beside the oil pump mounting bolts there is a plug that looks like a freeze plug, and on the new one it isnt there. didnt check the o ring yet but i doubt its the problem now. i hate to drop that pan just to check it but i reckon i will. i will post a pic up here in a few

Damn, that is surely the issue. I hope the others are in place. Even the best look like they can make simple mistakes.

I'd double check ther rear while you're at it. There is a plug at an angle you can pull to see if it's there. I used a screw driver to check. Just push the screw driver up in the hole.....if it hits the shaft of the restrictor (barbell) it's there. You shouldn't be able to go in more than a couple of inches.


Since you have the old block to use as a reference it should be easy.

i dont see any barbell pieces on the old block, i know i didnt send it to them. but kevin says its is in there. im still goin to check but im gonna be pissed if its not. should they have put this plug in or is this the way all vendors sell their short blocks

well toook that plug out and you can see a little white piece in it about 2 inches up. im assuming thats what needs to be there i dunno. we will see if i can get it back together tommorow

front oil gally plug = 09427693 5/8 plug. figured i would go ahead and throw it on here for future reference
