Yeap... I was waiting on results of a ERL 447ci using Tony Mamo... (cold zero). The build was almost completed and then the thread was left hanging.

I'm just going to leave this here since this thread was resurrected. The DART heads always got a bad wrap, but they are some of the most capable heads out there once they've been ported or worked over by hand. Ed Curtis always talked highly of the Dart heads and he's worked over a few sets that have yielded spectacular results. I run the Advanced Induction version of the DART heads, which start life out as DART 205cc castings which are CNC ported to 223cc. These heads helped my setup put down 447 rwhp down, and that was with a bone *** stock LS6 intake and bone *** stock/unported TB. I have seen AFR, TFS, and MAST heads make less. I have, and always will be, a big proponent of the DART heads. In the right hands, the DART heads are on par or better than all of the other "big boy" heads that everyone and their mother run on here. Too many times people are like sheep and are afraid to try something different and just want to follow the flock.

I'm happy with my Dart 225s. Minor touching up and valve job and flow really well. Made 460 rwhp through a full basani tru dual and 200 4r trans unlocked 4600 converter and 4.10 gears with a ported fast 90, f14 cam and lq4 short block at 11/1 compression.
11.21 at 122 asst 3800 race weight.
New 8" fti 5200 motor converter going in when my trans comes back from repairs

Those heads in as cast form are pretty underwhelming. But, with some work in the bowls and a good valve job they become more than respectable. The guide bosses are huge and poorly shaped making them the biggest restriction. Using a good valve like a Ferrea 6000 series or better dosen't hurt either. These castings are still kinda cheap on ebay and very workable , for me this was better way to go vs. 243's

Phone pic here, kinda fuzzy but gives you an idea of what you might do to better the Darts.
