I dont see why you would wnat a big cam on the street. Chances are you are going to have shitty DCR and the bottom end would suck. For a street car, it would be pointless under a certain rpm, as it woudl feel like stock. The trend for "small" cams is because a big cam wont do much more for you. A proper setup and a smaller cam will make a more powerful car all day long, every rpm range.

It can be a bitch at times, especially without good tuning, but you get really used to it.

(Oh and that really doesn't answer my question, because even if i turn the air on after its started it still dips down to like 4-500rpm a few times before it idles at ~1100).

All about the person driving it as far a driveability. ran a 230/236 107lsa cam in my daily driver for a long time. bout to run a .754"/.760" lift cam in my current street car, not a daily driver any more though.

I drove a friend of mine's GTO with LTs, LS6 heads and G5x3 cam. After a few weeks of tuning he got the tune figured out (HPTuners) and it was a blast to drive. It pulled like mad from 4000-6700(redline). Under 4000 it was a little doggy but when you can rev it up to 6700, who spends time under 4000?

TRex here with a 4000 stall daily driven.
WS6FirebirdTA00 I have to disagree with you. A properly done setup with a small cam WILL outperform a poorly done setup with a large cam. However, if you do both the right way, there is no way in hell a small cam can begin to touch the power with a big cam. Do you see any 224 cams in the cam only records????

And I am not saying a 224 cam will hold a cam only record
