Default Car Ticking Question?

I am new to this but I felt the part of the forum would no the most. But I just replaced the spark plug and wires. I took it out for a test drive ran great. But when giving it more gas like half or more. A Ticking sound starts on the drivers side. It does not tick at Idle. Does anyone know what this could be and what should I do to correct it. Thanks

Could be pre-ignition. What spark plugs did you use and what did you gap 'em at?

Just Plat AC Delco's. I was told don't need to gap them. From a dealer tech. The werid thing is if i rev the motor when not driving it makes no ticking sound. When you start drive and giving it more gas then thats when it happens and it bothers the heck out of me.

ticking only while under a load, that sounds like an exhaust leak
