In putting together a stroker engine I have a choice of H and I shaped rods.
What is the experience others have had with these rods, and what are the weight differences?
Thanks!

H-beam in non billet style rods are generally much stronger. I-beams are often lighter, but its of minor significance.
Just go with a set of Eagle or SCAT 6.125" H-beams. Both can be had for $350-450 depending on where you buy them. Both will easily live up to and above 1000hp...
no reason to do much else.

Thanks. I'm 99% sure that Shafiroff Race Engines will build the engine. Tomorrow I make the decision and call in the order. Shafiroff uses 4340 Callies "Comp Star" 6.125 H-Beam Rods with ARP 2000 Rod Bolts.
