Default just ordered cam...CANT WAIT!!!

just wanted to fill you guys in(like you care but im so excited) that I ordered my cam today from TSP. It's a custom grind 224/228 .581/.588 LSA 110+2 advance, 7.425" PR, 918 springs, Ti Retainers & ordered a LS2 timing chain from SDPC. I think that just about covers it!!! Hopefully installing it next week sometime Oh and also ordered from UMI panhard bar and LCA kit!!!!!!

Awesome man, my cam is a little bit bigger but I love it, I'm sure you will love yours too. If yours lopes anything like mine you will have people all the time just grinning when you pull up next to them at idle

sounds like a nice torque cam, can't wait to hear how it responds and sounds. What rpm are you supposed to shift at with that thing? I was thinking of a cam with similar numbers

Sounds like a great Cam. I am going to order my Cam in a couple of months and put it in this winter. I think I am getting mine from TSP as well.

I have that exact cam ground on a 112..

Why did you go with the 7.425 pr length?

Aftermarket cams have a smaller base circle, so a longer PR helps to eliminate the "sewing machine sound" by ensuring proper preload.
This doesnt apply when using milled heads or thinner head gaskets though.

With the XE-R comp lobes you need a slightly longer PR.

Hey man - got the identical cam on a 113+0, same lift, duration etc. I love it - runs great, sounds great, and makes great power under the curve.

Waiting on mine with the same grind but on a larger LCA (114). Can't wait!!! A good idea to put in a LS2 timing chain and LS6 oil pump while you are in there as well.

Does everyone recommend an UD pulley?

yes IMO an LS2 timing chain, ported ls6 oil pump, and pulley are mandatory with a cam change

You shouldn't have a problem with a cam that size. They are considered mild, especially when you compare it to the big guys around here with M3's and Trex's. Honestly don't skimp on your springs, pushrods, retainers, and timing chain and the car should be just fine.

Nevermind your screwed....

JK you should be just fine as well. Unless you decided you just wanted to save a few bucks and keep the stock springs in there with some bent pushrods off Ebay.
