Default Pushrod length check

Im wondering if someone out there who is good at engine math can figure out the length I need. I went from .030" milled 6.0L head to stock 6.0L heads and a .051" gasket.. 7.400"s are too short. Im thinking 7.45" might be what i need

Rather then taking an educated guess, why not spring for a checker?

They are less then $20.

However, a good set of calipers that measure under 8" are a bit pricey.

I have seen a substitute made out of two spokes screwed into the tightener (rim nub was ground off).

Pretty skinny but it worked.
