SLP performance package
http://www.lmperformance.com/7308/74.html
I am contemplating purchasing this performance package for my c6. Have there been any experience with the package upgrade itself or maybe even the individual parts included in the package from SLP?
Secondly, this car will remain my daily driver. Can I trust SLP's own custom tuned chip(is it reliable and safe?) or should I invest in a Diablo sport and have a local corvette shop tune my c6?
Lastly, I wanted to reiterate that my vette is my daily driver, how many of you suggest that this upgrade is still a good idea?
Let the fun begin

As far as tuning goes. get it on a dyno and tune it the right way. I would check with thunder or TSP for a packaged deal that you will truly benefit from. Not to lead you away from one sponsor to another. I just feel that you can probably get a better price by checking around. I would also avoid the headers. I know that on the F-body's they are hated for the low hanging.
dude dont get the diablo sport... its pointless, what he was saying is that for the same price you can have a reputable tuner who knows what he is doing put your car on a dyno and create the best tune for YOUR CAR WITH YOUR MODS, all of these tunes that come pre programmed are ok but why not get the best, most reliable performance for your money? I would find someone reputable in your area and set up everything with him, even ask him about the parts because SLP is way over priced for what you get.

Unless you are confident with such programs like ls1edit or HPTuners, i would just pay someone who knows their way around an ls1 to do a dyno tune. If you decided to tune the car youself, be sure to put some more cash aside for a wideband o2, otherwise it'll be real difficult.
BTW- The tuner will have his own software to use when they tune the car.

Unless you think I should invest in something else like LS1 edit.

In other words, dont even bother with the Diablosport, the tuner shop will just look at it and throw it in the back seat..

Price of that SLP package includes tuning by SLP so unless you want to drive to New Jersey don't bother with that. Intake and exhaust bolt ons shouldn't cost $5,000. Like ^^ said, get the parts cheaper from some sponsors here and find a local tuner to dyno tune the car.
For $5000 my car better have pounds upon pounds of air being forced down its throat and sound like it's sprung a horrible, horrible leak somewhere. I paid $300 bucks for my headers and said screw the catback and got a cutout with an electric opener for another $200.
