x3 - ms4 = "not far apart"
x4 - ms4 = "closer"
see where i'm going with this?

G5X-3
234/242 112LSA, 14 degrees of overlap at .050"
MS4
239/242 111LSA 18.5 degrees of overlap at .050".
That 4.5 degrees of overlap difference is bigger than you might think. FWIW, a 239 LSK lobe will actually come in closer to 240-241 in duration so the real world overlap is probably closer to 20 degrees.

P to V will be quite a bit tighter with the MS4 than the G5X-3. Think T-Rex tight! Remember, LSK lobes are slower from .006 to .050" and also remember that the 239 lobe is really closer to 240-241 at .050". That makes the duration at .006" around 291 or 292. The duration at .006" for a T-Rex is 291.

whats the intake centerline on the MS4? 110?
DCR with stock heads would be 7.58![Sad](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_sad.gif)
you'd need a scr of ~11.67 to get a DCR of ~8.5
looks like I'd be doing heads if I get this cam for an upcoming project
