Just a thought! If everyone that looked at this post sent in $5.00 to "TUFFS DISASTER RELIEF FUND" He could be on the road to getting the car done. Think about it, $5.00 or more and he could be running. Anyone interested can email me LASTLS1@comcast.net . I can take credit cards. Thanks for any help!!! Andy

Funny I don't know you guys, but I love these forums and all of the help and connections it has given me. Without tech and its members, I'd be a 4th year college student who only knew how to change his oil and kinda understood the workings of a combustion engine. If you are seriously trying to do some form of collection of $ or parts, you can count on my help for a few bucks or even some time (even though i'm an assload of miles away).

In regards to LME, I commend them on stepping up with little to no delay in offering to help to whatever extent they are able.

I wish you luck with everything and hope everyone can come together and help you get back and running man.

Thanks, I'm going to match 10% of what everyone donates. It's just a bummer! I want to do it with numbers of people helping, not one person with a big amount. Like I said anything will help him, $5.00, what ever. I just need enough people to participate " one less trip to Mc Donalds". Tuff had a ROUGH last year, and this isn't the way to start off the season after working on your car all winter!! Thanks, Andy.

I'm just trying to help him out, if you knew him you would do the same.

Thanks Jim! Bryan at LME said they were going to help out also. He hasn't got back to me yet. When he does we'll figure out what money I need to raise. I just want to raise what he needs! No extra money, not even for beer , sorry Mike!

Thanks guys. This has to be about the worst luck i have ever had.All the late nights in the garage this past winter. All the help from freinds that devoted there week nights and weekends to help bulid one of the fastest nos lsx car in the country is pretty much gone for this season. Its hard to get back in the swing of things when you miss a big part of the season or maybe the whole season.I feel bad to all my freinds that gave me a hand that spent so many hours on the car so we could go racing this season.

Anyways, I know it sucks when a hole season gets poured in the drain, went through that last year, lost a year round championship with 2 races to go.
Budget racing sucks, but the victories are so sweet.
I've see no hard data to back up the fact that the GENIII motors cannot be run to and past 7k due to their use of a wet sump oiling system. Maybe you have information that I have not seen. If so please post in another thread.

Really the only way a rod bolt will back out is due to improper tightening or a material failure. The stretch method is by and far the most consistent and accurate method. Using TQ can and does work if it is done properly EVERY time.

Good luck with your engine. I hope LME will at least look into this for you.

I sent 10$ come on guys lets pony up.
I would like to hear any kind of an explanation of how that bolt came out other than improper torque. Was the cap or rod cracked allowing the bolt to loosen? If it was I would think it would have finished separating long before the bolt vibrated all the way out?
